A whitewashed villa in Vathy, Aegina
Kyma means “wave” in Greek. The villa is in Vathy, a quiet area just outside the fishing village of Souvala, on the north coast of Aegina. The sea is a six-minute walk away.
We only rent the whole villa, never single rooms. Your group gets all five bedrooms, the living room and kitchen, the terraces, the pool and the jacuzzi, and nobody else stays here.

The pool is 10 by 5 metres, with sun loungers all around. There is shade under the pergolas, a big table outside for meals, and a jacuzzi on the roof with a view of the sea.

Each room has a Greek name, its own bathroom, a kitchenette and a balcony or terrace. Four have a king bed and one has two single beds.

A private chef at your villa in Aegina
I am a French chef and I cook for my guests here at the villa: breakfast in the morning, lunch by the pool, apéro at sunset and dinner at night. Everything homemade, on request.

Croissants and pastries baked in the morning, fresh bread, homemade jams, Greek yoghurt with honey, fruit and local products from Aegina. Served on the terrace, looking out to the sea.
Gastronomic Dining
A dinner cooked for you, at your own table.
We plan the menu together, then I cook it here in the villa’s kitchen with what is in season on the island. French technique, Mediterranean flavours, everything homemade. You just sit down and enjoy it.
Apéro & Tapas
Small plates and a glass of wine as the sun goes down.
Tapas and small bites made from scratch with fresh ingredients: Mediterranean classics and a few surprises. With French and Greek wines or a cocktail, on the terrace at sunset.

Things to do
in Aegina
Aegina is the closest island to Athens. It has fishing harbours, good tavernas, an ancient temple and its famous pistachios. These are the places I tell my guests about.
Temple of Aphaia
A Doric temple from the 5th century BC on a hill with pine trees. Go early in the morning or at sunset.
Aegina Town
The main harbour, with old neoclassical houses, the fish market and lots of cafés.
The nearest beach
Clear, calm water about six minutes from the villa on foot.
Aegina pistachios
Aegina pistachios have PDO status. You will find them in every shop and at farms around the island.
Seaside tavernas
Fresh fish by the water in Souvala, right next to us, and in Perdika, in the south of the island.

How to get to Aegina from Athens
Aegina is the easiest Greek island to reach from Athens. You don’t need a flight, just a short ferry.
Taxi or metro to Piraeus port, about 50 min.
Every hour from Piraeus, 40 min by fast boat.
≈ 15 min from Aegina port, or 5 min from Souvala port. We can arrange your transfer.

Is the villa shared with other guests?
No. We only rent the whole villa, so your group has all five bedrooms, the pool, the jacuzzi and the terraces to itself.
How many people can stay?
Up to 10 guests in five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It works well for families and groups of friends.
How do I book?
Send me your dates with “Ask for availability”. I reply with the price, and a 50% deposit by bank transfer confirms the booking.
Do I need a car on Aegina?
It is useful for exploring, but you don’t need one. Taxis are easy to find, and I can recommend car and scooter rentals.
